About This Service
Tennis Court Installation in Tampa
We design and build new tennis courts for Tampa-area homes, condo associations, HOAs, and commercial properties. That includes full-size and compact layouts, regulation net post systems, cushioned acrylic surfacing for consistent ball bounce, and precision line striping. The service fits properties with a dedicated flat footprint or amenable landscape that can accept a reinforced concrete base and drainage work.
Before breaking ground we perform a site assessment to check sandy soils, high water table, and coastal subsidence common around Tampa Bay. Expect compaction testing, subgrade preparation, and a reinforced concrete slab with control joints to limit cracking; these steps protect ball bounce and surface life in high humidity and intense UV. We install USPA-compliant acrylic surfacing formulated for Florida climate and specify corrosion-resistant hardware where salt air is present. Multi-sport layouts and cushioned overlay options are available for mixed-use yards.
Practical constraints: a regulation tennis court requires the 78 ft playing area and 36 ft width plus runbacks and side clearances (commonly a 60 ft by 120 ft overall footprint for competitive play). Smaller backyard courts are possible but need adjusted runouts and different line layouts. Plan for drainage design, HOA review or permitting when applicable, and scheduling around Tampa’s dry season or hurricane-prep windows to reduce weather delays.
